Freedom From Bondage is a THOR approved and GARR certified facility located in Athens, GA.  Our goal is to provide a safe, sober, stabilizing environment for women with substance use disorder. Our residents acquire employment, pay rent, maintain the house, attend regularly scheduled house meetings and are active in the 12-step community of Athens.

Freedom From Bondage (FFB) is exclusively for women 18 years of age and older who are motivated for recovery from alcohol and/or drug dependency. Length of stay is determined by each resident’s needs.  Each resident must be able to work a full-time job and will have two weeks, from her date of entry, to find employment. Full-time students and women who receive SSI are welcome and will be asked to perform volunteer work as able.
